WHAT TO EXPECT IN YOUR CONSULT

Weight Lifting

The best athletes are the ones who can train all year round, working each day to achieve their goals through both training and recovery; however one of the most common issues in the weightlifting community that sets athletes back and prevents optimal progression are injuries. Weightlifting is an innately safe sport however the main cause of injury are small technique faults, which accumulate wear and tear over time, leading to muscle/tendon injuries and prevents the athlete from reaching their full potential.

At Physio Fit we will utilise our vast knowledge and experience in this specific area to optimise technique, correct minor flaws that may be missed, provide advice on progression/load and to advise on which technique would be ideal for your body type in all lifts including:

  • Squat
  • Deadlift
  • Bench Press
  • Pull Ups
  • Olympic Lifting

At Physio Fit we understand that as a high level strength athlete what is important to you is a comprehensive understanding of the demands of your sport. Have you been to a health professional before who understands the biomechanical differences between a high vs low bar squat, or why you may choose to sumo vs conventional pull? If not it may be of great benefit to enlist the help of a Physio Fit physiotherapist who, as an example, instantly understands why you get pain at the front of your shoulder when you low bar squat and how to program this so your bench doesn’t suffer as a result.

This is the Physio Fit difference.
