Body Composition Analysis
Do you want a fast, non-invasive, reliable assessment of your body composition?

Physio Fit, in partnership with NutriFit, utilises InBody Body Composition Analysers, the latest technology available on the market for accurate and effective body composition testing. The InBody Body Composition Analysers are the only Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis machines with results that have a 98% correlation to a DEXA scan.
Whether your goals are fat loss or increasing lean muscle mass, Our team can provide you with a comprehensive analysis to help you stay on track.
Measurements include (but are not limited to):
Skinfold assessments involve taking a measurement on several sites throughout the body in order to gauge overall fat loss as you progress through your training and nutrition program. A typical skinfold assessment takes up to 30 minutes as the procedure involves marking out landmarks on the body to find seven skinfold sites, before taking multiple recordings at each site to ensure precision of results. Once completed we can use these numbers to see where you store fat, as well as see where you tend to lose it from over time. At Physio Fit we use only the top of the line equipment, Harpenden Skinfold Calipers, in order to ensure you get the most accurate results.
Note: Please wear loose fitting clothing to allow your physiotherapist access to all sites for most accurate results.
An important part of tracking change when aiming to lose fat or gain muscle is to take regular measurements over different landmarks on your body. This is because as you exercise you often build muscle whilst simultaneously lose fat and this may mean that at the end of the month the scales tell you that you have made no progress, when in actual fact girth measurements combined with skinfolds will show that you have lost fat mass and gained muscle mass.
