We offer second opinion Physiotherapy services online for people who have complex conditions/diagnoses and would like to have another perspective to give them clarity, or alternative treatment options. A second opinion consultation from an expert in the field can help to give you support, reassurance and peace of mind about your health, which allows you to make the best decision for your personal circumstances.
Many people are given a diagnosis, or a healthcare plan, that they feel doesn’t align with their views; or they feel as though the healthcare professional didn’t support or listen to them and their needs adequately. This is common in healthcare and getting a second opinion when you feel it is necessary is highly encouraged by all medical professionals – this allows you to make confident decisions regarding your own treatment options by providing you with the education of all your possible management plans moving forwards. Frequently Asked Questions
What is second opinion Physiotherapy?
Second opinion Physiotherapy is where a therapist assesses your condition without previous bias in order to give you a diagnosis and treatment options. This can help to give you peace of mind that you are on the right track, or it may give you more options for treatment that you weren’t previously presented with. As healthcare professionals, we are all working together to help you to make the best decisions about your health and wellness.
Why would I get a second opinion?
You may request a second opinion when you feel unsure about your diagnosis, when you don’t feel comfortable with the treatment options or for any other reason that helps to give you peace of mind that you have been given all the available information to make the best decision about your health.
Do I get a report?
You will get access to a full report from your consultation within 4 business days
Can I claim a second opinion Physiotherapy consult on Private Health Insurance?
Yes, you can claim a rebate on your session through Private Health insurance if your provider covers Telehealth consultations (we recommend you check with your provider as different funds have different allowances)
