Hey I’m Pete

My passion is to help people to move and feel better, to truly become the best version of themselves. Having worked with thousands of people over the past few years and seeing what a difference we can make in their life, I am inspired to continue to reach and help more people through Physio Fit.

I am currently not consulting clients through Physio Fit as I have stepped back to take a support role to help nurture our team and, in turn, help our clients achieve their goals.

My life in Physiotherapy

My journey into Physiotherapy and healthcare started due to my own personal experience with injury – during a social indoor soccer match I broke my right leg in half (just like the gross YouTube videos!) and was forced into a full leg cast for 3 months! At this time my life was consumed with high level sport and I had just assumed that when I came out of my cast I could return right away to elite sport, however I soon found out that it didn’t quite work that way. In fact, I actually had to learn to walk again in a rehab pool one step at a time, which I found to be incredibly hard mentally as an athlete; even more so considering I was in that rehab pool with people over 70 who had recently had joint replacements, it truly was one of my biggest mental battles. I was fortunate enough to work with an amazing Physiotherapist who helped me to focus on the positives, created a plan for us to move forwards and supported me both mentally and physically; and this has since shaped my life forever. My passion and mission in life has become to give that same hope and optimism to people who are fighting their own battle against pain and injury – both physically and mentally.

Throughout my time as a tennis player I developed an interest in treating shoulders, also in part because many therapists find the shoulder to be too complex and hard to manage effectively. This led me to become a shoulder physiotherapist, providing management of all kinds of shoulder related pathologies both in person and via Telehealth consultation.

Achievements through Physio Fit

After starting in a small multidisciplinary clinic for just 6 weeks, I made the decision to start my own practice inside a Crossfit gym, with just one room and no admin team, with my business partner Andrew Zacharia.

Within the space of 4 years we had expanded from just Andrew and myself in Crossfit gyms to a large multidisciplinary team of amazing health professionals across two large clinics, offering the most advanced technological solutions to injury management combined with an amazing client experience. In 2019 we were recognised as the SA Telstra Small Business of the year and in the same year I was also humbled to be named one of the top 40 entrepreneurs in South Australia under the age of 40.

In 2020 I was recognised as both a Growth Rx Leader – which is the acknowledgement of progressive thought leaders in the Australian healthcare sector and a professional speaker – one of my passions, and from the opportunities I’ve received speaking at events both in Australia and internationally, I am able to inspire and influence positive change on a greater scale.

My Core Message

Be the person who gives more value than anyone else!

We are open! We have escalated our already stringent hygiene routines and are still here to support you. Whilst social distancing is important your pain and comfort is also our priority, which is why the Australia Government considers allied health an ‘essential’ service.

It is important that we help support the load of our amazing local GP’s during these testing times.

Should you be forced to self-isolate, or are in a high risk category, please call to discuss a video consultation -
