How much funding will I receive from the NDIS?

The amount of funding that you will receive from the NDIS will depend on your current situation, the assessments that have been completed, and the recommendations you have received from various healthcare professionals.

It may be worthwhile looking to work with a Plan Manager and a Support Coordinator to help you to best understand the NDIS funding models, allowing you to ensure that you get the funding that you need to support you or your family to achieve your meaningful goals.

We are experts in helping people from all walks of life within the NDIS to improve their physical fitness as well as their functional capacity so that they can achieve their unique goals.

What you can achieve with Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy can help you to achieve meaningful functional goals that you set out to achieve. Our main role as your Physiotherapist is to provide you with the support, guidance, and reassurance to achieve your version of success. We can support you to increase your strength in a way that allows you to complete tasks that you never thought possible. We can also help you to improve your fitness, both one on one and in a group setting that allows you to build your social connections with other NDIS participants.

Can you provide NDIS Physiotherapy services at a time that suits me?

We offer NDIS Physiotherapy services Monday to Friday at times ranging from 7 am to 7 pm & from 8 am to 12 pm on Saturdays at both our Modbury and our Findon clinics. Our extended opening hours ensure that you can get the care that you need at a time that is convenient for you.

We also offer both in-clinic and home visit NDIS Physiotherapy services within our local areas, so that if you are unable to attend one of our clinic locations you can still get the services and care that you require to achieve your specific goals. We believe that being able to travel should not be a barrier to accessing NDIS Physiotherapy support to achieve your functional goals.

What types of assessments do Physiotherapists use under the NDIS?

Physiotherapists are able to perform a wide range of assessments under the NDIS, which will be dependent on what you need. The main type of assessment that Physiotherapists complete under the NDIS is the Functional Capacity Assessment; because NDIS assessments are based on the functional capacity and functional goals of the individual. From these assessments, our Physiotherapists are able to create a plan to improve each area in order to achieve a meaningful outcome for the client.

Examples of functional assessments are:

  • Getting in and out of a car
  • Getting out of a chair
  • Standing up from the floor
  • Lifting items
  • Going up and down stairs

The assessment will be uniquely designed around the goals of the individual in order to create a treatment plan to support them to achieve their version of success.

How are NDIS assessments funded?

NDIS assessments are funded by the government through the individual funding provided within the NDIS plan.

Does NDIS fund massage therapy?

The NDIS can offer limited funding for Remedial Massage Therapy services. This may be worth discussing with your Plan Manager and Support Coordinator.

Once you have funding approved for Remedial Massage Services, we are able to work with you to achieve your goals through this service.

We are open! We have escalated our already stringent hygiene routines and are still here to support you. Whilst social distancing is important your pain and comfort is also our priority, which is why the Australia Government considers allied health an ‘essential’ service.

It is important that we help support the load of our amazing local GP’s during these testing times.
